Welcome
On behalf of the Mediterranean Neuroscience Society and the Local Organizing Committee, I would like to invite you to Marrakech (Morocco) from June 23rd to 27th, 2019 to participate to the MNS 2019 conference. The venue of the MNS 2019 will be Hotels Atlas Medina and Atlas Asni, in the aptly-named hivernage neighborhood of Marrakech, at a walking distance from the famous place Jamaa Elfna in the Medina which attracts millions of tourists every year.
After recent successful meetings in Cagliari (2015) and Malta (2017), MNS 2019 in Marrakech is the seventh conference of the Mediterranean Neuroscience Society and is a part of the effort of MNS to bring its contribution to the development of neuroscience in the Mediterranean region and in the rest of the world. It is our hope that MNS 2019 will be an engaging scientific experience among the world’s top neuroscientists. The Scientific Council of MNS will evaluate the symposium proposals to establish an exciting program addressing both basic and translational issues. In addition, the program will feature 7 plenary lectures by renowned neuroscientists from around the world covering several different topics, including learning and memory, neuroadaptation, neurometabolomics, addiction, antipsychotic drugs and neurodegenerative disease. The scientific program will also comprise free oral communications from young investigators and Poster sessions.
The social events include a get-together party on June 23 free for all participants and accompanying persons, a gala diner on June 26 and several optional excursions in Marrakech, Essaouira on the coast or Ouarzazate in the south. We very much hope that you will be able to join and to be part of what will be a major international neuroscience event in 2019, held in the red city of Marrakech in Morocco.
